I chose the photographer Annabelle Breakey
Personal Background:
Annabelle Breakey is an editorial still life and food photographer from San Francisco. A lot of her work is commissioned and she has worked for companies such as Starbucks and McDonald’s to promote their products. However, she has also produced some more artistic photography. She went to San Jose State University, but they didn’t offer photography classes for her, so she went to the Academy of Art University San Francisco and graduated in 1990. Breakey’s father is the leading cause of her success according to Breakey. He made her write a business plan for her career as a photographer. I couldn't find the date of birth.

Style:
Breakey loves what she likes to call “pretty things in pretty light”. Food photography is one of her strong suits, and many big companies like Burger King, McDonalds, and many more companies are partnered with her. She has been taking photos for 20 years and enjoys the taking care of the planet, and she states that this corresponds to her food photos and style. Breakey also loves getting out of her comfort zone and shooting crazy travel photography.

Philosophy:
As an experienced photographer, Breakey believes that it is very hard but satisfying when she makes something more than personally memorable. She tries to incorporate food photos sending a message about saving the planet. She also works to include emotion into her photos. She adds happiness with bright colors and new patterns. She also tries to bring a sense of adventure with all of the different places she explores and takes photos at. Basically what she saw in her travels.

Influences:
I loved the creativity of the how she arranges her food in the photos. I'm really impressed by the end product of how it's even possible to have food arranged like that. I really enjoy how colorful her photos are. The fact that she uses big brands in her photos like McDonalds really shows how other people appreciate her creativity in her photos.

All photos don't have titles
Compare and Contrast:
I had to go and buy the materials to get these pictures taken. The oranges was really easy (I didn't have a blood orange) and I grabbed the leaf from the front yard. The hello food word was fun to do, I arranged the food just like the photo. The marshmallow was fun, I used a blowtorch to have the burn, and found a stick outside. It was overall a fun experience to play with food.

Personal Artist Statement:
The photos I took doesn't have a mid-ground or a background. The center of the image is where the object(s) are placed. There really isn't any Composition Rules that I used for the taking of these photos. This was a fun experiment. The best part of it all was that I got to eat these for breakfast :).
